Prosecutor’s office Veterans Association of the Republic of Moldova

Veteran’s bodies’ of the prosecutor’s office are active participants and witnesses of the development of independent state Republic of Moldova. During the 15 years that have elapsed after independence, they took part in active measures to state building, the drafting and adoption laws. Many veterans of the Prosecutor’s office participated in the formation and strengthening of the prosecutor’s bodies of Moldova.
In 2003 Parliament of the Republic of Moldova adopted the Law on veterans, who for the first time were foreseen veterans rights and obligations of public bodies in this category of citizens.

The initiative of the prosecutor’s office leadership and a group of veterans in April 2005 was convened General Assembly pensioners, which decided the formation of the Association of Veterans of the Prosecutor’s office of the Republic of Moldova.

Initiative of foundation the Association belongs ex General Prosecutor of the Republic of Moldova, Mr. Valeriu Balaban. The General Assembly approved the statute Association, the membership elected board and censor Commission. Statute provides that Association carries out collaboration with the leadership of General Prosecutor, public authorities, similar organizations in the country and abroad, aiming for noble active participation to achieve the social policy of the state regarding veterans, performance for the specialized assistance to prosecutor’s office employees, organizing and conducting charitable activities. 

Prosecutor’s office Veterans Association is led by the Association Council, elected by the general assembly, composed of 11 veterans. Chairman of Board is Dumitru Postovan and vice - chairmen - Mihail Gusca and Natalia Macarov, secretary - Nicholas Televco, members of the board - Mîţu Ion, Vasile Pener, Galina Matveev, Ludmila Cebanica, Stefan Grădinar, Iosif Mardari, Grigore Ciobanu.

The General Assembly elected and establishing an internal censor group, which is led by Ion Vasilatii.
 One of the basic concerns of the Association is active participation in the achievement of the State Social policy regarding veterans, representation and defense of the rights and interests of veterans, the veterans public activity, creating and promoting the image of prosecutor’s office in society. Veterans enjoy the attention, support and aid to current and jubilated holidays.

 Among the members of the Association are participants in battles against fascism during the world war 1941-1945. On the day the formation Association, during the 60 years since the victory, the participants addressed to Defense Minister, Valeriu Pleşca, a former worker of the prosecutor’s office. He handed the medals and thankful diplomas to prosecutor’s office veterans: I. Ceban, E. Ochişev, Gh.Jitari, A. Cernîşov, M. Gusca and V.Şapovalov.

 Annual Association, together with the Prosecutor leadership, holds meetings with war veterans at celebration the Victory Day, Day people between the ages of the third, and the Day of Lawyer, the Day of Prosecutor’s office worker. On this occasion are organized trips to the Memorial of Glory Battle of Şerpeni and other historic town of the Republic.

In the two years of membership Gusca M., L. Cebanica, N. Televco, D. Postovan, veterans V. Guţu, V. Tighineanu, O. Oarza, V. Şapovalov and others have made a considerable volume activity and continue to make contribution to strengthening the body of Prosecutor’s Office. In this context, the veterans have gathered materials for historical interest, founding the Museum of Prosecutor’s Office. With the participation of some sponsors has been made regarding the personality of, an album “Cartea Memoriei” (Memory Book) which contains photos and biographies of 80 prosecutors-veterans. There were prepared panels, which will reflect the sequence of life and activity of pensioners - veterans.
